St. George's, Patea
St George's was built in 1885 and consecrated by Bishop Hadfield. It was designed by Frederick de Jersey Clere and is considered one of the finest testaments to his skills as an architect. It is a very early example of 'A frame' construction and it is the only Clere church with a five light East window, one of the glories of the St George's. The church is covered in the book 'Architect of the Angels: The Churches of Frederick de Jersy Clere.
