The parish serves a perse area covering Melville, Glenview, Deanwell, Resthills, Rukuhia, Ohaupo and Ngahinapouri.
The St Luke's congregation includes a mixture of races and takes pride in its multi-ethnic relations.
There is an active Sunday School and a small Youth Group.
Services are Communion services using the New Zealand Prayer Book and a mix of traditional and contemporary music is used.
Vestments are worn and the tone of the worship is gently catholic.
There are a variety of small groups and rosters active in the parish.
